OUR CHURCH COMMUNITY
We are a Christian Bible-based community committed to supporting each other as we do life and grow in Christian character.
Our heart is to reach out with the love of Jesus to our community and the world and to see people enter into a saving relationship with God.
Most Sunday mornings we share our time with English language students, backpackers and Aussie and international visitors.
We also meet each week in small groups on Wednesdays for Bible study and prayer.
OUR VALUES
We value the Bible, worship, teaching, prayer and the work and power of the Holy Spirit in our lives and through our lives as we love and serve each other and our local community.
Jesus came to declare hope for all peoples and to enable us to be connected to our loving God through His death and resurrection. Jesus came to provide complete forgiveness of sin and for healing our broken hearts and lives.
Jesus came to give us a purposeful and abundant life.
Jesus came to take the broken parts of our lives, to redeem the past and to create meaning and significance for all our days.
WE SUPPORT…
- AA & NA GROUPS: AA and NA groups use our hall for meetings to support people suffering addictions and health issues
- MISSIONS: Prayer for various missionaries involved in God’s global mission
- BEACH MISSION: Scripture Union outreach over the summer holidays
- BREA: Christian Education within the Byron Shire high schools
- Byron Bay Combined Churches – We support the unity of the Spirit that comes through Christians working together to bring the love of Jesus to our community through Scripture in local schools
- Northern Rivers Healing Rooms – Some of our members have been involved with the Healing Rooms, which is a prayer ministry which prays for physical + emotional healing, and spiritual blessing for locals and visitors to the region. www.byronbayhealingrooms.com.au
Julian and Celia are our pastoral ministry workers.
They’ve both been trained at Sydney Missionary and Bible College and are committed to sitting under the authority of the Bible, God’s Word, as they serve our church. Julian aims to teach faithfully from the Bible during our services each Sunday. They have a passion to show people the love and certain hope that’s found in Jesus and the abundant life they can have through a saving relationship with God.
They have three kids and love the Byron Shire where they have lived and worked since 2009.
